Santa Cruz, CA – The Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk is excited to celebrate the holiday season with Winter Wonderland at the Boardwalk! Join us on select days from Thursday, November 27 through Sunday, January 4, 2026. This free-admission event is bigger andbrighter than ever, featuring dazzling holiday lights and decorations, extended hours, and a special treat — Boardwalk rides are just $2 each operating day after 5:00 PM.
Santa Cruz County’s first-ever holiday drone show will illuminate the night sky on Saturday, November 29, accompanied by a dazzling tree-lighting ceremony, live entertainment, and complimentary cookies and hot cocoa for all Boardwalk guests.
“The Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk has become the premier destination in Santa Cruz for celebrating the holiday season with family and friends and this year is bigger and better than ever before,” said Gladys Rodriguez, Boardwalk spokesperson. “Our new holiday drone show promises to be a truly magical experience. During Winter Wonderland at the Boardwalk, visitors can also enjoy our daily holiday light show, festive decorations, photos with Santa, delicious seasonal treats, unique holiday shopping, and popular Boardwalk rides.”
Winter Wonderland offers holiday activities and special events for the whole family. Along with select Boardwalk rides and attractions, guests can enjoy nightly holiday light shows every 15 minutes from 5 PM to 8 PM, festive decorations, a towering three-story Christmas tree, photos with Santa Claus, holiday shopping, seasonal food and beverages, and warm fire pits.
Holiday train rides departing from the Boardwalk will be offered on select days. Guests can also enjoy a special screening of the beloved holiday movie Elf with Santa Claus on Sunday, December 7, and a festive brunch with Santa on Sunday, December 14. These events require an additional ticket purchase.
