Santa Cruz, CA – The Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk announced their 2025 free summer entertainment plans for the world-famous seaside amusement park. This year’s family friendly lineup of free entertainment will include a first ever drone show in the sky above the Boardwalk, the popular Free Movies on the Beach summer series, half price mornings in Boardwalk arcades, and live music, magicians, acrobats, and DJ dance parties during Evenings on the Colonnade.
“Our free summer entertainment lineup provides something fun for every member of the family,” said Boardwalk spokesperson Kris Reyes. “Classic movies, great music, DJ dance parties, and our first ever drone show will create unforgettable summer memories that will last a lifetime.”
The sky above Main Beach will light up on Saturday, May 17 during the Boardwalk’s first ever drone show. Starting at approximately 8:45pm, the ideal viewing area will be on the Boardwalk and Main Beach between the Giant Dipper and Undertow roller coasters.
Guests can also experience the ultimate free movie night on the beach in front of the Boardwalk. Starting Friday, June 13 and continuing every Friday night until August 8 (except July 4), fan favorites such as The Lost Boys, Ghostbusters, Clueless, and The Goonies will entertain Boardwalk guests of all ages. Each movie will include a 15-minute intermission and seating on the beach is first-come, first-served.
Evenings on the Colonnade start Monday, June 16 and continue daily through August 7. Boardwalk guests will enjoy live music, magicians, acrobats, and a DJ dance party. Mornings at the Arcade also begin on Monday, June 16 and continue daily through August 8. Each day guests will enjoy half price arcade games at the Boardwalk’s Casino Arcade and Neptune’s Kingdom.
