Santa Cruz, CA The Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk has released their 2023 free summer entertainment schedule for the historic seaside amusement park. This year’s lineup will feature daily performances by a variety of world class entertainers, live music from popular Bay Area bands on Thursday evenings, and Friday night movies on the beach in front of the Boardwalk.
“Our 2023 free summer entertainment lineup has something for everyone who visits the Boardwalk,” said Boardwalk Spokesperson Kris Reyes. “Thrilling entertainment, live music. and movies on the beach are as much a part of the Boardwalk experience as a ride on the Giant Dipper, salt water taffy, and cotton candy.”
Starting June 15 and continuing every Thursday through August 10 Bay Area bands will rock out from 8:30-10 p.m. on the Boardwalk’s Colonnade stage in front of the Pirate Ship. Music lovers will have space to dance and can enjoy a variety of Boardwalk retail and food locations open during the show.
On Friday, June 16 fan favorite The Lost Boys will launch the movie series on Main Beach in front of the Boardwalk’s Colonnade. Free movies on the beach will be shown every Friday night at 9 p.m. through August 11. Popular films including Space Jam, Selena, and Top Gun: Maverick are part of the exciting lineup of classic movies.
Daily entertainment will run from June 19 – August 11 and feature two performances daily by a variety of talented magicians, acrobats, jugglers, and comedians. Performances will occur at the Colonnade stage in front of the Pirate Ship and near Logger’s Revenge.
