What’s New for 2019
  • Twirlin’ Teacups is the newest ride to open on the Boardwalk just in time for summer. The family-friendly classic teacup ride opened Memorial Day Weekend and it’s already a hit with kids who love the spinning action.

An art contest is running throughout the summer to pay homage to the National Historic Landmark. For some interesting local history on the park’s signature ride visit blog.beachboardwalk.com/dipper

  • A new and improved inside the Casino Arcade has a flashy high-tech makeover with new gear, a new registration and display system and other exciting new features.

  • A new Crazy Surf ride is scheduled to open in early June. The new ride replaces a similar, older ride in the same location.

  • Leo the Paper-Eating Lion is back on the Boardwalk this summer after roughing it in the Santa Cruz Mountains since the 1990s.A favorite of kids who visited the Boardwalk in the 70s and 80s, Leo has been fully restored. The colorful retro lion likes to eat litter right out of your hand. You can find him in his original location, right outside Funland Arcade.

  • The Boardwalk added a new tradition this Spring. A “guest of the day” is invited to announce the “opening of the park” each day… with the push of a button and a little fanfare.
