SANTA CRUZ, CA (April 21, 2021) – The Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk is seeking fun, outgoing and energetic applicants to work at the Boardwalk in May and June as part of the Boardwalk’s popular Work and Play Program. Spring and early summer are typically a busy time at the Boardwalk, yet many students and seasonal employees are not available to work during this time of year.
Introduced in 2019, the Boardwalk's Work & Play Program was an instant success during its first year. This year, the Boardwalk aims to hire 65 employees to work ten, 8-hour shifts for specific dates in May and June as part of the program. In addition to an hourly wage, employees hired under the Work & Play Program who work ten days in May and June will receive 6 Boardwalk Season Passes ($515 value) to share with family and friends. Jobs pay $14.00 - $15.00 per hour with positions in foodservice and ride operations.
The deadline to apply is May 10. For more information visit https://beachboardwalk.com/Work-and-Play .
"Our Work & Play employees enjoy the fun of working at the beach for just a few weeks," said Boardwalk HR Director Sabra Reyes. "In 2019, applicants hired under this program included a retired physician who always wanted to work at an amusement park; a retired financial advisor who wanted free season passes for his family; a retired couple from the Central Valley who love the Boardwalk; and a local bride-to-be who wanted to thank her bridal party with Boardwalk Passes."
In addition to the innovative Work & Play Program, the Boardwalk is already filling hundreds of other jobs in various departments throughout the company. Flexible schedules for students as well as full-time career positions are available. https://beachboardwalk.com/Jobs
