Santa Cruz, CA – The Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk has announced their free 2024 summer entertainment plans for the world-famous seaside amusement park. This year’s exciting lineup will include the popular Free Movies on the Beach summer series as well as live music, magicians, acrobats, and DJ dance parties during Evenings on the Colonnade. This summer the Boardwalk is introducing Mornings in the Plaza featuring half-priced arcade games, breakfast specials, and a morning dance party for guests arriving before Boardwalk rides open for the day.

“Our 2024 free summer entertainment lineup includes something fun for everyone who visits the Boardwalk,” said Boardwalk spokesperson Kris Reyes. “Live music, classic movies on the beach, and thrilling entertainers and magicians will help our guests make lifelong memories all summer.”

Friday, June 14 fan favorite The Lost Boys will launch the summer movie series on Main Beach in front of the Boardwalk’s Colonnade. Free movies on the beach will be shown every Friday night at 9 p.m. through August 9. Classic films The Sandlot and Ferris Bueller’s Day Off combined with modern hits Barbie and Wonka are part of the exciting roster of fan favorites.

Evenings on the Colonnade start Monday, June 17 and continue daily through August 8. Boardwalk guests will enjoy live music with delicious food and drink. Incredible magicians, acrobats, and a DJ dance party are also part of the fun.

Mornings in the Plaza begin on Monday, June 17 and continue daily through August 9. Play half-priced arcade games, devour irresistible breakfast specials, and show off your best dance moves with Splash at the Pirate Ship stage. Finish off your morning by cheering on the Guest of the Day as they officially open the Boardwalk.

The summer entertainment schedule is part of an exciting year at the Boardwalk which includes the historic Giant Dipper’s 100th Anniversary and the installation of two new rides including the 65-foot Dream Wheel.
