Request Permission for Photo or Video Capture

The Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk is a popular location for commercial photography and videography. To ensure a smooth experience for productions while maintaining a safe environment for guests, all shoots require permission in advance.

The Boardwalk is a popular location for both amateur and professional photography and videography. We do not allow professional photography/videography or use of tripods or other equipment on the Boardwalk without permission. Cameras, Go-Pros, selfie sticks etc. are not allowed without approval and supervision. Drones are prohibited on or near the Boardwalk.

To request permission for a video or photo shoot, please download an application and follow the instructions. We will evaluate your request and get back to you within 2 working days to discuss. All professional shoots will require Proof of Insurance and location fees may apply.
